Social Studies Teacher
I Instructed 125+ high school students on a day to day basis and led various education teams. I was responsible for creating and implanting lesson plans that sought out to meet learning objectives that improved student mastery of the classroom subject. Within one team I managed a small learning community of 15+ teachers with responsibilities for 300 students, facilitated bi-weekly meetings to ensure structured support to aid student’s interest in pursuing careers within the medical field, and utilized data to improve educational support strategies. I also was a teacher leader on our Equal Opportunities Schools team that sought to bring equity in programming through data analysis and application of said analysis. Additionally, I led the Teacher Collaboration Team (TCT) to design the curriculum for Psychology and Sociology classes and improve instruction within those classes and align learning standards horizontally across the department.

I worked within the special education department providing one on one instruction to students, as well as providing classroom support for teachers. My role was focused within a program of the school that primarily dealt with Autism.
Social Studies Teacher And Substitute Teacher
In this position I covered multiple teacher leave of absences for various teachers within the Social Studies Department. Throughout this time I taught World Studies, U.S. History, and Government courses. Some of the teacher leave positions were not full time, so that time was spent providing coverage for other teachers in the building or assisting with other academic support roles that needed assistance.
