A Light Armor Reconnaissance Battalion Scout is tasked with duties that support the overall battalion mission and enhance the effectiveness of the Light Armored Vehicle. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing forward reconnaissance of an area prior to friendly occupation, engaging enemy forces in any terrain, providing security for vehicles, and gathering data to relay back to a command unit. On a daily basis, a leader makes sure their Marines are physically fit, studying necessary skills, and ensuring maintenance is done on all equipment. This is done by teaching classes, leading physical training, and ensuring Marines are where they're supposed to be at all times.
