I spent over two years in Deloitte’s Strategy and Analytics practice, focused on helping clients in the federal and state/local transportation markets with organizational strategy, integration of AI modeling tools into decision making, program evaluation, and growth strategy. My client base included federal transportation agencies, metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs), state departments of transportation (DOTs), and private organizations. Much of my work at Deloitte involved the delivery of analytics services utilizing agent-based, digital twin models. I am especially proud to have led the implementation of new a new modeling use case that provided the firm and our client with a unique ability to assess the distribution of benefits from transportation investments, with an emphasis on the equity and environmental implications of a major capital project. My time at Deloitte also grew my appreciation for (and practitioner skills in) strategy. I managed a team that developed a current state assessment and peer benchmarking analysis aimed at helping a client more effectively leverage their emerging technologies testing program, delivered an organizational strategy for a federal-level client, and guided an organization through a reassessment of their market strategy. In addition to my client-facing work, I led a go-to-market strategy refresh for our teams providing AI modeling in transportation, and helped another internal team bolster the firm’s strategy offerings by revisiting strategy methodologies critical to helping our clients prepare for multiple possible futures.I remain incredibly grateful to have worked with such amazing colleagues at Deloitte.

My portfolio was built around long-range transportation planning, with a heavy emphasis in transit-oriented development/joint development, interagency coordination, regional growth pattern analysis, and resilience. Contributions also included incubating conceptual infrastructure proposals designed to improve the efficiency, fairness, capacity, and environmental performance of the New York region's transportation networks. For nearly the entire time I worked at the Port Authority, I served Agency staff and leadership by quantifying and contextualizing the scale of residential and commercial development around PA facilities and formulating both reactive and proactive strategies and solutions, first at a project-specific level and later more broadly. This work involved data journalism and internal advocacy, consensus-building, and strategic planning.For roughly a year, I coordinated resilience efforts across Agency departments. I project managed the design phase of a LIRR project sited on PA property, and engaged with multiple host municipalities to help articulate PA challenges and opportunties for working together. I also collaborated with colleagues in our Office of Environmental and Energy Programs on a number of sustainability projects, from work that helped highlight the PA's Clean Construction Program to an analysis of Zero Waste strategies to inform project design and overall strategy aimed at waste reduction.

I served as the Port Authority representative on the Meadowlands Transportation Brokerage Corporation's board, participating in the Investment Commitee.

• Research regional best practices for resiliency and mitigation in state-level DOT policies.• Interview stakeholders to understand agency investment priorities and asset management processes.• Analyze vulnerability assessment and hazard mitigation tools by by state, regional, and federal agencies for quality of fit.• Create policy framework and recommendations to incorporate resiliency and hazard mitigation into NJDOT planning process.• Advise NJDOT management on barriers to implementation of proposed resiliency policies and tools.

• Researched possible regional impacts on transportation systems by sharing economy platforms.• Authored July 2015 Monthly Economic Indicators newsletter; co-produced Port Authority Podcast episode 12.• Critiqued methodology of Reason Foundation Highway Report to assess utility for Port Authority research.• Analyzed EPA’s COBRA model for quality of fit within the Port Authority’s cost-benefit analysis framework and rules.• Ad-hoc research and analysis; authored literature review on elasticity of demand for peak period transit ridership and memos on transit oriented development precedents, regional vehicle miles, and Manhattan real estate.

I worked with Tribal on a school improvement contract with Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. While with Tribal, I designed reports pulled from SQL/Excel data to chart student performance and investigate the efficacy of programs.

I taught algebra, geometry, and AP statistics.

While working at FedEx, I redesigned an internal reporting module critical to saving the company money; the redesign resulted in significant, measurable increases in system performance, relieved strains on hardware, reduced outage times, and eased future upgrades. Changes were thoroughly documented in UML diagramming where appropriate, and I collaborated with staff in multiple remote locations to ensure timely delivery of system components. I participated in a staff on-call rotation, ensuring immediate responses to server errors.
