When I was 22 years old I made a life changing decision that put my life on a trajectory that I had never imagined. I left the comfort of “Sweet Home Alabama” and headed to the beautiful Korean Peninsula. What was initially meant to be a two year experience that was meant to simply allow me to learn more about my Korean heritage, led to an unexpected series of amazing learning experiences.The first stage of my journey led me to four years of working in the elementary school setting as an English language teacher. My newfound love for teaching led me to pursue a Master’s degree in education and expand my horizons. The next great life opportunity led to my four year term as an English language instructor at a local university in Korea. Soon after, my desire to learn more led me to relocating to the bustling metropolitan of Seoul, South Korea. It is in Seoul that I was able to gain a better understanding of who I am personally and what goals I have as a professional. I spent the first year in Seoul honing my Korean language skills and soon found myself in a completely new field of work. This opportunity allowed me to work in a more global scope in the fields of marketing and investor relations. I would have never imagined I'd be flying around the globe sitting in board rooms with global investors and marketing products at global exhibitions, but that was one of the best unexpected experiences of my life. After some years there I found myself back in the classroom. It was during my time in the classroom that I was able to learn that I desired a position where I can get the best of both worlds. At the core, I discovered that my calling is to continue to work in a fast paced, global, and evolving environment where I have the opportunities to work with people and apply my abilities to communicate and teach, while learning how to become a better leader and keep up with our ever developing society.I’d love to have the opportunity to speak with you about how I can contribute to your program.
