Production Operative
CurrentWorking as a production operative where the work involved was making sure the conveyor belts weren’t overloaded with bags of scrambled egg as they had to go on another belt that would jam if overloaded. Checking bags of scrambled egg in case they weren’t sealed properly and doing quality control checks. Packing the bags of scrambled egg into boxes like 2 in a box or 4 in a box mostly and making sure the correct labels were used. Building the pallet of the boxes of scrambled egg, a certain number depending on which boxes were used. I also helped the supervisor make up the tanks of scrambled egg using the different ingredients and making sure the correct amounts were used. The packing of the scrambled egg was fast and constant moving and there was no time for standing about, so if a machine was messing up you would fall behind easily and have to catch up which wasn’t always easy at times, but I made sure things were under control and kept calm. I also done other roles in the factory like boxing up trays of egg or stacking trays on egg on a pallet and also built pallets of liquid egg yolk in boxes. Pallet trucks were used to move the pallets from one place to another, so I was trained on that.
