Spent five weeks delivering one to one English lessons to adults at a residential language school in the English countryside. Most students were executives or in leadership positions within their organisations, and came from countries including Russia, Japan, Italy, Germany and Spain. Besides teaching, was also responsible for programming the curriculum for one student each week, based on a comprehensive needs analysis, and also led part of the social program.

Assigned to a university, I delivered an intensive two and a half month conversation focussed English course to groups of up to 16 students. For many of the students on the programme, this was the first time they had had to focus on speaking English, previous instruction having been oriented towards passing exams. I succeeded in building the students' confidence and creating an atmosphere in which they found studying and practising English could be fun. I was rehired for the following semester (commencing September 2015).

Provided information on clients' tax liabilities both directly to the clients themselves, to private bankers and also to internal staff at the bank. Assisted with sourcing, amending and distributing tax data and also with interpreting the implications of that data.

I was the point of contact for all internal and external queries regarding windfarm developments and the potential impact on the Orange mobile phone network. I devised a new process for manually assessing network impact (where the software devised for this purpose was not fit for task) and also for guiding discussions on mitigation and potential re-networking, which i then implemented. As part of my day to day work, i also validated and checked payment of bills related to the Orange portfolio of switch centres, produced and distributed a range of other process documents related to the role (both as requested and off own initiative), administrated company document management systems for the Estates department and undertook a diverse range of other duties as needed.

I was hired on a three month contract initially, to work as an Electricity Administrator. The role entailed compiling data on Orange’s electricity suppliers and usage, dealing with various electricity related queries from both inside and outside the company and to design, suggest and implement changes resulting in a reduction in costs. This project was led by (and still is, at the time of writing - February 2011) Richard Suter and has secured savings for the company in the order of multi-millions of pounds.At the end of my initial three month contract, I agreed to take an extension and a change of role, covering a colleague's maternity leave. The Estates Co-ordinator position that i took involved a range of tasks including those detailed elsewhere (between October 2009 and 2010). I also validated payment of bills related to Orange’s portfolio of switch centres, assisted in securing reduced expenditure on rates bills for Orange’s network buildings and produced extensive monthly reports for senior colleagues.

I was assigned a position in the architecture department of the university and handled a project archiving material held on slides electronically. The primary challenge of the project (which was arranged through ONECO) was to overcome the language gap: at the time i had only been learning Spanish for three weeks, and my colleagues at the University of Seville spoke very limited English. This was accomplished and the project was well progessed during my time there. I was also able to build good relationships with the staff in the faculty.
