Labor Relations Representative
CurrentI process insurance forms and update Request For Leaves data for the Worker's Compensation Team. I am the Leaves, Services & Accommodations point-person for purchasing. I grant entry to employees and facilitate sign-ins and light-duty assignments for the Transitional Work Program. I am SFMTA's COVID Hotline lead, which includes identifying and implementing program improvements, establishing and defining SOPs, conducting interviews with employees, and making recommendations based on agency protocols. I enter case data into the COVID Hotline database and collaborate with team members to create the best plan-of-action. I send notifications to division managers concerning COVID positive employees being onsite during their high-risk period. I collaborate with COVID Hotline team members, and other divisions throughout the organization to effectively notify all parties affected by close contact exposure. I email weekly COVID positive case tracking updates to executive-level members of the agency. I enter data into the personnel database and the payroll database for new hires, promotions, transfers, etc. I enter disciplinary action data and assemble associated packets. As an HR generalist I assemble, update, and organize personnel files. As an analyst in Step 2 disciplinary hearings, I research cases, assemble packets, and present SFMTA's positions concerning employee grievances. I update bargaining table binders and related database with the most current proposal, counterproposal, and agreement data. I identify policy changes based on agreements reached by SFMTA and union representatives and draft summaries into the related database. I am a redlining editor for two SFMTA Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs). I make recruitment calls to prospective employees and ensure registration and possession of qualifying documentation for upcoming hiring events. I respond to inquiries concerning hiring events.
