Hired and supervised two project analysts during this two (2) year assignment and extensively used state-of-the art project management tools to develop a practical work-plan to meet project objectives.Led the review of existing Crown land leasing policies and the development of recommendations to improve these policies as part of the Department’s proactive land asset management initiative project.Produced a revised Crown Land Leasing Policy and Guidelines for the Preparation of Crown Land Lease Applications to improve clarity and workflow associated with land lease application reviews. Incorporated contemporary business models into a updated precedent land lease used for wind-energy conversion, mineral extraction, agriculture (maple sugar, blueberry, cranberry), and other commercial uses.Evaluated economic development opportunities for agriculture use and wind-energy conversion use of Crown lands. This included extensive consultations with industry and government stakeholders, supervision of consultants and integration of numerous datasets for a geographic information system (GIS) evaluation. Issued a public tender for leasing Crown lands for maple sugar production following a systematic approach using technical and economic business information management.
