Special projects conducted internationally included:Fluvial facies modeling and gas charge simulation for well spacing optimization in faulted offshore play. Main technique involved percolation migration simulation. Some difficulties conditioning to complex components of physical system.Nonstationary multiple-point simulation (MPS) of prograding deltaic facies architectures. Main aspect was that with Chevron tech. we were able to generate multiple realizations of realistic clinoforms using simple training images. Objective was to evaluate uncertainty in injector-producer connectivity. Geostatistics coupled with tracer simulation for surfactant-polymer flood design. Indicator simulations for permeability with covariance functions tuned based on analysis of simulated interwell tracer test.Experimental design for evaluation of thermal recovery processes including SAGD.
