I am a member of the commercial property team specialising in residential housebuilding and development. I am an experienced lawyer and have many years' experience of advising housebuilder clients on securing strategic land, site acquisitions and associated ancillary matters including overage, affordable unit disposals and infrastructure matters. My focus in the housebuilding sector has led me to representing the the nation's most prominent housebuilders. I have advised on mulit-million pound national projects. My highlights include a circa £65m ultimately abortive purchase of a 1,000 unit site in Hampshire, the acquisition of a 200 unit site in Hampshire at circa £17m and the acquisition of a 65 unit site in Hampshire for circa £14m that included a canal and nature reserve.Advice included the investigation and reporting on of multiple registered and unregistered titles, negotiating the form of contract and sub-sale back of certain parcels and the related transfers and deeds of covenant, advising on the overage arrangements and SDLT implications of the transaction. Additional advice included rectifying the seller's planning agreement and permission to provide for a workable access arrangement
