I was a contract biologist that typically does endangered species observing aboard hopper dredges, mechanical dredges and along shorelines. I look for any interaction involving the endangered species and identify any remains that may be recovered during operations.

I was responsible for taking by-catch data measurements,as well as identification aboard commercial shrimp trawlers. The project was to determine the effectiveness of experimental by-catch reduction devices.

I was responsible for building, and maintaining a weir site set up along lake creek as well as a Dual Intensity Digital Sonar substrate site on the Secesh River. Daily inspection of the equipment as well as analyzing video footage of the day before to accurately catalog all spawning salmon that passed upstream of the weir.
