I am a neuroscience graduate student in the Aguilar-Valles lab, where my research focuses on the therapeutic potential of psychedelics such as 2-Br-LSD, Psilocybin, and Ketamine in treating mood disorders. Our lab utilizes mouse models and molecular biological techniques (e.g., RNAseq, Western Blots, and Electron microscopy) to uncover the underlying mechanisms of these substances and their impact on gene expression related to stress and depression. My work is driven by the pursuit of innovative and fast-acting treatments to address the current mental health crisis.
