The Wight Foundation

Manage all aspects of the college search and application process for junior and senior Wight Foundation Scholars. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, planning, coordinating, and executing a regional six-college summer tour as well as hosting summer and school-year application workshops on the Common Application, essay writing, and interviewing. Develop and maintain working relationships and partnerships with colleges, universities and college counseling offices at Wight Foundation network boarding schools. Counsel families during the financial aid application process including providing hands-on support to families completing the FAFSA and the CSS Profile. Provide scholars and families information on external scholarships as well as fly-in visitation programs at colleges and universities. Coordinate summer internship, travel, and academic opportunities for all Scholars grades 9-12. Direct the College Scholars Program, which includes coordinating biannual College Scholars Seminars, providing academic and career planning support, grant distribution, record keeping and summer opportunity support. Represent the Wight Foundation at regional and national professional development conferences held by NACAC, NJACAC, and the College Board.
