As a level 7 cognitive behavioural psychotherapist, this role includes working with people 1 to 1 with moderate to moderately severe anxiety conditions (such as OCD, GAD, PTSD, panic disorder, health anxiety, phobias, and social anxiety disorder) and depression.

As a level 7 cognitive behavioural psychotherapist, this role includes working with people 1 to 1 with moderate to moderately severe anxiety conditions (such as OCD, GAD, PTSD, panic disorder, health anxiety, phobias, and social anxiety disorder) and depression.

As part of Pulse Healthcare, I work at Liverpool Heart and Chest NHS Trust as a CBT Therapist on a locum contract (as of 9th January 2024). I am working with people with acute and inherited cardiac conditions, who require some psychological support. I spend time in the cardiology service (which includes the ICC/ICD services) and time in cardiac rehabilitation. I conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and formulations, providing psychological treatment/interventions (including psychological therapies) on one to one and group bases.

In addition to this role, I delivered two online webinars on ‘understanding cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for your complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) and chronic pain’ and ‘managing relationships with chronic pain’.

Within this role, I worked as a research data administrator during the COVID-19 pandemic. This included gathering information about inpatients within the Trust, who have contracted COVID 19 (either in the community or within the hospital). I then inputted the data onto a database that was sent to Public Health England and ultimately to the World Health Organisation. I also received a certificate within 2 weeks of me commencing my redeployment role. It was from my manager stating that I helped to complete some “paperwork for the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Priority Research Study at short notice that was required by the Chief Medical Officer”.
