Mr. Lovas is a transportation engineer in the Transportation Systems Department and VHB’s lead traffic engineer in Montgomery County, MD. He has extensive experience with traffic impact analysis, institutional and commercial parking analysis, travel demand forecasting, transportation planning, and conceptual transportation design. Mr. Lovas specializes in the evaluation of both simple and complex traffic roadway networks; large and complicated multi-phased projects; institutional transportation and parking operations; and development of travel demand management and alternative transportation systems.

Conducted parking and traffic impact studies, SimTraffic simulations, and presentations for large residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, primarily in the Washington, D.C. area. Designed parking facility layouts and site circulation for major developers. Coordinated and supervised data collection subcontractors.
