CurrentI started banking with Hume Building Society in 1997 & built a strong & loyal relationship with the business & the brand, so when an opportunity came to work for this now leading local bank I jumped at it. As a Business Intelligence Analyst at Hume Bank, I am accountable for partnering with stakeholders across all levels to drive Hume’s strategy through the design & delivery of meaningful reporting, analytics & operational insights.The key responsibilities of my role include:~ Conduct routine & ad-hoc analytics support for a range of stakeholders as required~ Provide unique actionable insights & commentary on strategic & business productivity initiatives~ Maintain an expert knowledge of the data contained in the core banking system & Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)~ Perform product data collection from multiple data sources~ Maintain responsibility & accountability for the availability of datasets across business units~ Enrich & visualise collected data & turn it into actionable insight~ Actively manage relationships with stakeholders & data evangelists across the business~ Promote a data driven decision making culture aligning business priorities to strategic outcomes~ Perform behavioural & descriptive analysis/segmentation to drive customer conversations & identify opportunities~ Present actionable recommendations to stakeholders through the use of reports, dashboards & data visualisation tools~ Collaborate across the business with analysts & stakeholders to drive the effective & consistent use of data/insightsThroughout my time at Hume I have enjoyed the ability to demonstrate my advanced knowledge in SQL for Executive reporting & decision making & the Microsoft Office range of productivity applications, in particular I am an advanced user of Excel and can automate many features of these applications through custom ribbons & macro'sI have a strong understanding of the use of visual analytics tools including the production of dashboards & reports
