About Daniel Lynch

Since achieving my BEng Tech degree at DIT in 2007 I have worked in both the consultancy and contracting elements of the Building Services industry up until my departure from Ireland in late 2011. Most of this time was spent at RNM where I gained valuable experience working on various projects within the commercial, residential, industrial and educational sectors. I enrolled in the Glasgow Caledonian University (part-time) in 2008 where after 2 years achieved my BEng Honours Degree.In 2010 I moved to London to work as the resident design engineer for the main contractor on Plot N14 of the Athlete's Village for the 2012 Olympic Games. Whilst there, I aided in many processes such as design development, draughting, preparation of tender documentation, tendering and tender analysis, appointment of contractors, conducting presentations to the client and continuous liaising with the many parties involved. To broaden my knowledge I moved from the consultancy aspect to the contracting end of things with Designer Group. Here I gained experience in projects from an installation point of view and spent a number of months on-site at a large pharmaceutical installation in Dundalk.Most recently I was employed at a prominent Building Services Design Consultancy in Dublin working on various commercial projects within Ireland and overseas. I also aided the company in compiling new standard Mechanical and Electrical Specifications and successfully securing it's ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations.
