Daniel Mack (he/him) as the Special Assistant to the Dean oversees admin initiatives, supports the Dean's strategic planning, supervises operations, helps facilitate high-priority events, provides recommendations to the Senior Advisor, chairs and surrogates meetings, handles logistics, conducts IT training, and ensures budgetary compliance. He also enhances staff skills through training, ensuring smooth operations and budget compliance.Daniel previously served as the Operations Manager at the Progressive Policy Institute where he oversaw all logistical aspects of one of D.C.'s oldest progressive think tanks. He managed everything from event planning to human resources. Throughout his tenure at PPI, he managed all human resource aspects of an organization that tripled in employee size. He handled IT hardware acquisition, accounts payable/receivable, onboarding of employees, and facilitated the transition to a year-round intern program. His event planning experience included facilitating over 20 events annually, both domestically and internationally, including PPI's yearly European Congressional Staff delegation. These events involved executive scheduling for former heads of state, royalty, U.S. Senators and Congress members, and their staff. Daniel partnered with team members to manage grant outcomes, track expenditures, and acted as a force multiplier for his colleagues. He places an emphasis on social equity, clear communication, process optimization, efficiency, and automation. Daniel graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Clemson University. His last major work at Clemson was being the project creator and lead for the Veterans History Project. He created the instructional materials that were used to train and assess student's ability to conduct video interviews with combat veterans, as well as collect over a dozen interviews himself. Through the Creative Inquiry program at Clemson University, he was able to manage the acquisition over $7,000 of equipment.
