Data-Driven Design for Sustainable Paper Packaging

- Supported the Submarine Combat System Engineering Group in the development and refinement of an interactive Power BI dashboard. The dashboard provides an interactive method of assessing defects that threaten submarine safety and capability.

- Tracked daily performance of the Therminol plant. Used the data to compile monthly Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) reports to identify bottlenecks and potential areas to focus resources on- Oversaw over 40 Management of Change Tracking (MODs) to the Therminol plant- Alarm management – worked on reducing nuisance alarms. Compiled monthly hardwire alarm data into a report. Used the report to reduce Safety Interlock System (SIS) demand on instruments. - Project managed the start-up and commissioning of newly installed gas detectors- Involved in writing many operating instructions, risk assessments and COSHH assessments- Project managed the installation of new pipework and a relief valve to improve condenser steam out. This allowed for increased capacity on the Therminol plant- Liaised with plant operators on a daily basis to address plant problems

Had a great time here taking on and learning many new skills including:Learnt to use the software, FSAP, to calculate building carbon emissions and then looked at ways to reduce these emissions through recommendations via a energy strategy reportHad a good flavour at looking at the business side and learning ways to improve SEO score.Had a great opportunity at leading a project and learnt a lot in terms of communicating between client, architect and mechanical engineer.

I worked in the shop alongside the club professional, helping take bookings and green fees, serving food and beverages to customers and to maintaining the high standards of the shop. I worked a couple of shifts per week.
