To overlook and lead the analysis and requirements for all gaps within a new LIMS. Lead a team of business analysts and story writers to cover all areas of the business and ensure new systems have the required features before going live. Assist where necessary with developing for any gaps, as well as maintaining database procedures and creating new procedures and queries for partner applications. Engage with EMEA region wide stakeholders to ensure developments are beneficial to all on an individual level. Propose new development and features for use globally that fit the requirements for every region, while also ensuring that the smaller scope requirements of the features do not get lost in the bigger picture.

Liaising with relevant stakeholders and using prior experience to identify gaps and development with regards to a new major feature within the LIMS. Once identified, communicate the necessary requirements with business analysts and story writers to have the requirements translated to new developers. Be the point of contact for developer questioning and offer assistance with bug testing. Involves site to site travel to ensure that all potential stakeholders have been communicated with. Organise and lead the relevant handover meetings for new developments.

First point of contact for laboratory users with regards to the LIMS in use. Help desk role offering support with database management and application processes.

Validation of analytical methods. Responsible for instrument repair and maintenance scheduling with manufacturer. Ensure analytical methods are performing effectively and efficiently.On occasions I am required to deputise for the team leader and step up into a managerial role within the team, supervising other analysts and supporting them when needed.As part of this role, I have demonstrated a capability to work with many stakeholders both within and outside of the company. I work with the quality department to ensure external proficiency testing schemes are completed to a high standard and investigate any occurrences of deviated results within them. I fully investigate non-conformance raised through customer queries to ensure that the results sent out by the team are of the highest standard. With my background in Chemistry I can offer insight into customer queries regarding any questions they may have about the methodology and procedures of our instruments.Another essential aspect of the role is to help contribute to capital expenditure requirements, to ensure any new investments regarding the lab are sensible and potentially offer fully researched alternatives. Through this I have demonstrated an ability to effectively communicate with senior management and external companies regarding instrumentation and the service we receive.
