Worked as a member of the Downtown Development Corporation, a non-profit organization dedicated to planning for the long-term economic health of Downtown Louisville (and one of two organizations comprising the Louisville Downtown Partnership). Represented the Partnership on various citywide efforts, such as Downtown mobility planning. Managed various projects as part of the planning team, including but not limited to:-- “ReSurfaced: The Bourbon Edition” – the activation of a vacant lot in Downtown Louisville into atemporary bourbon/beer garden and public event space, inspired by the tactical urbanism movement-- The public approval and adoption of various plans, such as the Downtown Master Plan andneighborhood zoning overlay districts-- A housing strategy for Downtown Louisville

Louisville, Kentucky Area

Worked on a small team dedicated to bringing innovation to Louisville Metro Government, funded by a grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies. Managed various projects designed to improve customer service within the city’s Planning Department. Conducted detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis to set targets and track progress. Managed the delivery of a regional infrastructure report, written by a 50- person committee for the Mayors of Louisville and Lexington, KY. Served as the Louisville liaison to Bloomberg Philanthropies and NYU, regularly evaluating progress in all phases of the innovation and delivery process. Completed University of Louisville’s Advanced Project Management Training course.

Louisville, Kentucky Area

Worked with the Commercial and Industrial Redevelopment Division on long-range economic development and planning initiatives. Implemented various redevelopment plans focused on the revitalization of West Louisville, namely the Park Hill Industrial Corridor Implementation Strategy. Administered a brownfields assessment grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Acted as a liaison between Louisville Metro Government and area business associations.

Cincinnati, Ohio Area

Worked with a research team on various projects related to improving communities and organizations. Assisted in the production of an economic cluster and workforce analysis for the northwest region of Florida focused on identifying target clusters for the regional economy. Conducted research on various market areas across the nation in order to create a market development plan for specific neighborhoods of Cincinnati. Helped create a regional fiscal impact model to assist local governments in projecting the impacts of specific land use changes on community revenues and costs.

Louisville, Kentucky Area

Worked as a part of the Neighborhood and Long-Range Planning Team within the City's Planning Department. Assisted in the development of master plans for the neighborhoods of Glenview, Portland, and the Westport Road Corridor. Conducted research on stormwater best management practices and local property acquisitions.

Louisville, Kentucky Area

Conducted historical research on Louisville waterfront neighborhoods and specific properties of interest. Set up new deed and property management systems. Updated Waterfront Park photographic archives for website and other publications.
