In the last eight years I have successfully represented providers on issues important to our profession on both a state and federal level. The opportunity to work with providers in both northern and southern Nevada is attractive to me and would be enjoyable. This foundation has had positive impact on Nevada’s post-acute care community utilizing grant funding to provide evidence-based practice education to Nevada’s post-acute care providers and regulatory community.Statewide responsibilities, programming and collaboration• Provider Tax or Supplemental Payment Calculation representation to the Department of Health Care Finance Policy (DHCFP) involves quarterly reconciliation to ensure the appropriate collection and distribution of the 6% gross SNF revenues tax and the matching federal funds it generates• Behaviorally Complex Care Program (BCCP) operationalized in May 2015 and generated a SNF Medicaid rate add-on for providers that have developed appropriate behavioral programing for Nevada’s residents.• Admissions and Transitions Optimization Program (ATOP) this SNF payment reform program starting October 2016 from HealthInsight provides additional payment through Part B for specific diagnosis and treatments that often result in readmission to an acute setting. This program was developed through a multi-year partnership between HealthInsight, the Association and Perry Foundation.

Regional Account Manager and Regional RN reported to me in development of compliance / collection plans for the region. Collections reached 100% of billed revenue, up from 97% for 2007 for the first time. All buildings had dramatic improvement in survey compliance under my direction. Elimination of over 1 million dollars in agency use from my starting point in 2008. -

The Bureau of Licensure and Certification determined that the care justified a 182-page state of deficiencies that included 4 Immediate Jeopardy level deficiencies, a ban of admissions and a $300,000.00 fine. With the help of a great staff, on January 14, 1999 this facility received a deficiency free survey, the first for the Company in Nevada. The average daily census climbed from 74 to 126 since the ban of admissions was lifted. Managed over 250 employees.
