I'm currently a final-year student at Leeds Beckett University studying Sport Business Management. Furthermore, I work part-time at The Met Hotel in Leeds City Centre as a bartender, waiter, and events team member. University, and this job has taught me many key skills. For example, in order to balance my university work and my job, I need to have great time management skills. Moreover, my communication skills have grown exponentially because my job requires me to be friendly and sociable with every customer and to be happy to help everyone. Also, university societies and group work assignments required me to be good at socialising with people and working well with others. Additionally, my work experiences have helped me improve my sales skills. For example, in both of my previous bartending jobs, I've been actively encouraged to push sales and deals to customers. Personally, I feel I excelled at doing this. Sport and fitness have been such an important part of my life throughout high school, college, and university because it has always had such a positive impact on my physical and mental health. I've played numerous team sports over the years. My favourites were football and basketball, which I played for over six years. I managed to win individual awards as well as team awards during those years, such as managers' player of the season and a championship medal. I still play sports casually because it is great for staying in shape and mental wellbeing. I love running and going to the gym. Therefore, I do these activities most days of the week. I will graduate from Leeds Beckett University in 2025. Therefore, I'm open to and actively looking for graduate jobs and schemes for next year.
