This role requires issuing health and safety advice to Aer Lingus management and personnel within the following areas: Maintenance and Engineering Department; Hangar 6 Maintenance and Office areas; Hangar 6 Material Warehouse Area; Aer Lingus fleet management. A selection of responsibilities within these areas includes:- Assist in the development and implementation of company wide health and safety management system including policies and procedures. - Complete risk assessments and issue corrective actions to reduce risk levels - Develop, implement and review health and safety statement.- Review and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) - Complete hazard inspections and issue corrective action plan - Design and deliver training packages - Pre-qualify subcontractors- Monitor compliance with health and safety management system. - Formulate and Report monthly H&S statistics - Complete accident/incident investigations - Attend management meetings and provide detailed report on health and safety performance. - Oversee Facility Management Company- Implement and oversee compliance of health and safety requirements within the company fleet - Assist in management of plant and equipment preventative maintenance programme. - Involvement in design of new/upgrade of facilities to ensure adherence with safety standards. - Involvement in procurement of equipment and materials - Develop and ensure compliance with waste management plan. - Assess health of employees including shift work patterns

Presently I am workng as EHS lead within the Intel Ireland campus. My role role requires me to oversee L Lynch & Co operations within live manufacturing facilities thereby ensuring health and safety procedures are being followed while ensuring no interruption to facility production. Over the last two years I have worked in similar roles within other manufacturing facilities such as Takeda Ireland, Pfizer, Leo Pharma, Bristol Myers Squibs, Tyndall National Institute and Analog Limerick.

Within this role I was responsible for ensuring the implementation and compliance of the safety management system within site operations. This required me to ensure all safety procedures were set out and followed as per project requirements as specified by the client and PSCS. I also assisted in the development of the safety management system which was certified to OHSAS 18001 standard.

Acting as the clients EHS representative on the roll out of the H3G National Broadband Scheme I was responsible for ensuring the continued compliance of the PSDP and PSCS on the project. This involved continuous auditing of all responsible parties safety management systems including documented safety plans and procedures along with auditing site operations to ensure compliance, and issue corrective actions where required.

My role and responsibilities included: - Performing desktop audits of proposed contractor's safety and environmental systems. - Making risk based recommendations based upon contractor's documented health and safety systems.- Liaising with proposed contractors and administering advice on necessary amendments required of their safety and environmental systems.

I was responsible for structuring and implementing a safety management system for O’Byrne Jenkins operations to comply with ISO9001. Within this role I also acted as PSDP on construction projects in manufacturing, residential and commercial sectors. This required continuous consultation with the client for the project and the development and dissemination of information to the PSCS to enable the safe planning of construction activities.

Acting as the PSCS co-ordinator on projects within the manufacturing, commercial, banking and residential sectors my role was to ensure that Walls Construction adhered to all legislative standards and requirements. This involved developing site specific health and safety plans based upon information received from the PSDP and ensuring all facets of the plan were being implemented on site. It was also necessary to review subcontractors documented methodologies and ensure that site rules were being adhered to at all times including the completion of all relevant statutory inspections.
