Graduating from Ulster University with a 2:1 BSc Physiotherapy in 2014, I began a career in healthcare, first working in public sector hospital, venturing into private clinic work, elite level sports teams and in occupational health roles over 9 years. In recent years I have found myself asking what I was looking for out of a career, and made the decision to explore a new sector in technology and IT. The experience I gained from my time as a physiotherapist was invaluable. This involved honing skills in managing myself and others, soft skills in communication with stakeholders, analysis of performance data in both professional sports and in hospital/clinic setting, leading a team and managing conflict in healthcare setting. I feel that my experience and skills can prove vital in both client-facing and non-client facing roles in technology sector. I have completed my MSc Software Development, achieving Commendation in June 2024. My ambition now is to continue to develop technical proficiency in programming, working with an ambitious and motivated team and learning to apply new technical skills to future projects. I have a life-long passion for learning, and am excited to progress in a new career in the exciting technology sector.
