Summary of key skills and experience:• Engineering professional: comprehensive industry experience with telecommunications software and systems developers; and network operators.• Applied knowledge: of the technology, development, deployment and technical support of mobile network systems and related network operator business processes and applications.• Experience includes senior customer facing roles: in software development, network operations, systems analysis, project/program management, team management and migration and transformation projects.• Mobile network experience: from first through to fourth generation mobile cellular network standards: TACS, AMPS, GSM, WCDMA/HSPA, LTE, LTE-A; covering NMS, OSS and BSS systems; core-, radio-, transport- and service networks and constituent serving elements.• Network- and element management experience: fault-, configuration- and performance management in core-, radio-, transport- and service networks.• Real-time charging control and converged billing experience: integrated charging control for voice and data services in GSM.• Mediation-, roaming settlement- and offline billing systems experience.• Network operations experience: first-line (NOC/SOC), second-line and third-line; including contractor (engaged-party) SLA management.• Revenue and service assurance experience: development and deployment of revenue and service assurance systems in mobile telecoms networks.• SaaS and IaaS experience: the development and deployment of mobile enterprise solutions, based on pad and smartphone clients and cloud hosting of enterprise applications.• Strong and diverse capabilities: including technical, analytical, communication, project and team management skills. A demonstrated ability to learn, organize, communicate and negotiate to deliver on key objectives.• Education to master’s degree level: M.Eng. in telecommunications engineering. The thesis is on wireless relay systems, in fourth generation LTE Advanced networks.• Research experience: knowledge and experience of technology literature research.
