From completing community service from year 7 through to year 11, I decided I wanted to enter a field of work that would be able to aid the public and increase the overall health of the people around me and be able to help them anyway I can. And from my enjoyment of science that came from school, i decided to go into biomedical science as I am still unsure about my final outcome of profession, whether it be medical science or dental science. Originally I am from Central Coast, NSW but moved up to the Gold Coast in January to follow my endeavors in swimming on trying to represent Australia on a senior level. My best achievement so far in the sport of swimming is representing Australia on a junior stage at the 2022 Pan Pacific championships in Hawaii. From doing this sport all of my life, it has given me many attributes that I have been able to transfer into my studies and everyday life, the main being time management. The sport has taught me how to manage my time effectively and how I am able to optimize my time efficiently and effectively in everything I do. This skill is highly transferable as I still need to stay on top of everything to keep on track with uni work and juggling sporting commitmentsThe skill of team work, this has developed over the years through the completion of the community service at my local surf life saving club. This skill is highly transferable as it has taught me how to work together in a group environment which will allow me to have more refined skills when entering the workforce once graduation form university.The skill of critical thinking has been developed through the aid of completing high levels of mathematics and chemistry during my schooling times, which also coincides with the skill of quick thinking. These skills are transferable into the area of work I intend in entering as it requires these skills when encountering patients and have to think on your feet
