Advising on curriculum, inclusion and education for a community interest cafe for young people with SEND

-Overseeing and developing the careers curriculum.-Supporting pupils and their parents to transition into John Chilton School high school department from the primary phases and from other special and mainstream schools. - Guiding pupils and their families in options for further education, supported employment and community opportunities as pupils transition into adulthood.

- Developing curriculum approaches in line with the Preparation for Adulthood framework. - Promoting high expectations for pupils in Post 16 education in: Independent Living; Good Health; Employment and Friends, Relationships & Community Involvement. - Supporting pupils and their parents in choosing next steps as pupils transition into adulthood.

- Leading curriculum development and planning, assessment, behaviour and pupil well-being for cohorts with the most complex special needs in John Chilton School. - Line manager for the Engagement Pathway team comprising of 6 class teachers and 15 support staff. - Providing support, advice and CPD to less experienced members of staff.- working with multi-disciplinary teams including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and assistive technology teams to ensure a holistic approach to teaching and learning across the Engagement Pathway.
