Duties include:- The safe dispatch of a variety of tractions from Ayr, Gourock, and Wemyss Bay stations, maintaining the platform train interface at all times.- Controlling the safe movement of trains during shunting by coming to a clear understanding with the Driver and/or the Signaller prior to commencing the movement.- Working collaboratively with Signallers and colleagues in control to facilitate ad hoc set swaps and placing units on specific diagrams for maintenance requirements where possible. - Safety critical mentor for new colleagues joining the South Clyde area.

Duties include:- Provide great customer service to all customers I interact with.- Ensure customers are travelling with the correct ticket for their journey and are aware of any restrictions on the product they have purchased. - Selling tickets to customers coming off train without a ticket from unstaffed stations. - Protect revenue and deter ticketless travel by enforcing the ‘Buy Before You Board’ policy and participating in various fraud exercises across the network.
