I am a proud graduate of Quinnipiac University (BS in Health Science Studies), where I immersed myself in the Athletic Training program. Beyond the classroom, I dedicated myself to expanding my knowledge in basketball coaching, motor learning, strength and conditioning, sports psychology, and nutrition. My commitment is evident in the content I've shared on social media platforms since 2019 (including Instagram @dmhoops), focusing on providing informative and practical insights about basketball training and performance.My time in QU's Athletic Training & Sports Medicine program set me apart by offering unparalleled hands-on experience. I serviced elite athletes, gaining invaluable real-world readiness. In my final semester at QU, I delved into the obesity epidemic, authoring a comprehensive literature review on adherence to weight loss plans. This deep dive, and the knowledge I gained about the epidemic leading up to the writing of the paper, equips me to make a meaningful impact as a personal trainer.With over 4 years of formal coaching experience, including working with professional and NCAA Division I players, I am committed to addressing gaps in traditional coaching methods. My service focuses on representative practice and holistic player development, incorporating physical preparation, nutrition, and more. Grounded in peer-reviewed research in motor learning among other disciplines, I strive to provide a well-rounded approach to coaching.As a professional, I bring more than skills and knowledge.
