As a member of the senior leadership team, I create and execute strategies for organizational development, workforce planning, employee engagement and business performance. I implement the Association’s vision through creation, development and execution of initiatives to support inclusive culture, talent acquisition and retention, business operations, productivity and performance. I develop and enforce policies and procedures, manage HR systems and processes, support business operations and growth, and partner with Association directors in guiding decisions and management of daily people operations for 500 employees across 9 departments in 2 locations. Highlights include:• Collaborating with the Board of Directors and senior leadership in comprehensive 3-year strategic planning process, guiding decision-making to expand the organization’s reach and impact. • Being a key member of the team charged with acquiring and opening a 2nd location to grow membership and expand services, estimated to increase membership by 60% within first year with an operating budget of $4M. • Effective change leadership as part of the senior team that transitioned employees through the organization’s evolving response to COVID-19 pandemic, creating transparent communications, developing processes for furloughing and rehiring, pivoting to remote work and establishing safety protocols and regulations to allow re-opening of facilities.• Establishing a compensation philosophy and plan, utilizing analysis, market research and industry benchmarks to determine salary ranges and meet standards of equity for 40 full-time positions annually.• Championing Diversity, Equity, Belonging and Inclusion strategy across the Association.• Enabling business continuation and staff retention during COVID-19 by partnering with CFO in securing Federal PPP grant and employee retention credits of over $3M to facilitate WSY’s ongoing mission-based work.
