Project Manager/Estimator
Current• Grow company’s presence and reputation in Madison market by entertaining customers and procuring/managing successful projects.• Assist production team with schedule analysis and material procurement to prevent production delays.• Estimate and manage commercial construction projects with various degrees of size and complexity for subcontractor specializing in metal stud framing, drywall, painting, plaster, EIFS, and slab-edge firestopping.• Assume ownership of project from bid time to owner occupancy and beyond.• Coordinate and perform preconstruction tasks including completing bid forms, reviewing/signing contracts, providing shop drawings, evaluating schedules, creating budgets, and preparing production team at preconstruction meetings. • Coordinate work tasks with general contractor and other specialty contractors in weekly scheduling meetings.• Provide on-site personnel with the information, tools, and equipment to ensure productivity is maximized. • Proactively address plan, specification, and site condition issues with general contractors and architects.• Review changes to contract documents and provide/negotiate cost impacts for scope changes.• Manage budget and costs by reviewing budgeted versus actual costs for labor, material, and equipment codes and anticipating future project costs and needs. Use this information to forecast project profits.
