• Accountable for production processes in the special oxides arena, covering the manufacture of a wide variety of speciality high value, high margin products to challenging customer specifications for use in environmental and healthcare applications, utilising highly flexible team and equipment to produce wide range of products focusing on achieving RFT and OTIF. - Worked as part of an international research team to develop a new environmentally friendly route to an existing company product (melamine)- Managed my time effectively to complete several distance learning courses, and produce my masters dissertation titled ‘A new environmentally friendly route to melamine‘ whilst working fulltime- Significant advances were made, doubling conversion and leading to a patent application- The project involved designing and synthesising new heterogeneous catalysts, using a variety of supports, metals and preparation methods- Testing catalysts using a continuous flow reactor to perform the reaction under high pressure and temperature conditions, monitoring online via GC and MS- Designing experiments to test reaction performance, in order to optimise catalyst and reaction conditions.- The project involves using BET, XPS and XRD techniques to analyse the prepared catalysts
