Through completing a degree in Media and Communications in May 2018 (with an anticipated 2:1 honours), I have developed a keen interest in communications and marketing, as well as gained an insight into the power of social media in the modern marketplace. Having worked previously with House of Fraser to help enhance their social media following and presence, I recently gained further experience through assisting The Baby Grand Media Group with the promotion of their three largest venues AdLib (Hope St), AdLib (Ingram St) and the Baby Grand (Charing X). I used social media platforms to engage with the public, converting them from followers to consumers through enticing promotions, competitions and posts. I have also recently completed a placement within STV where I saw the inner workings of a marketing department within the media powerhouse. I also gain exposure to ITV’s Children’s lottery, which reinforced my belief that media is a influential tool in connecting people.Throughout my employment, both pre and during my studies, I have developed key business skills and acumen, such as problem solving, communication and negotiation skills. Through my further education and experiences, I believe I have a strong foundation to commence a career within the media interest and very much look forward to taking the next step in my career.Outside work my interest include sports (both playing and watching) and spending time with my friends and family.
