I worked at the Pump house gastropub in Bristol as a member of the front of house team. I was promoted to Duty manager in September 2018. The Pump House is a two rosette restaurant located in the busy Bristol harbour side. As duty manager I was in charge of running my own shifts and being responsible for looking after the bar and floor aspects of the pub. I gained vital people skills and an insight into management.

I am worked as an intern at the University of Exeter (Penryn campus). My job role was project placement support officer. My duties included researching and providing information about placements and internships for students undertaking a sandwich year. I am also worked with other GBP officers looking at ways to improve employability and student engagement.

After finishing university I was hired at the Lidl Falmouth store. This store receives very high footfall so there was never a quiet moment. During this time my communication and confidence skills were improved, having to make sure each customer had a pleasant experience and that all of the daily tasks were completed. Time management was also very important as the store required early starts and late finishes.
