Clean Air and Water PM

Duties- Responsible for all inventory management and accountability of Hazardous Materials for the United States Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod, Ma. Supply division - Aviation Material Office, with emphasis on providing technical guidance and supervision to personnel involved in the handling and disposal of hazardous material (HAZMAT). Perform site inspections of remote HAZMAT satellite accumulation points for hazardous waste collections, inspect and record above ground and underground containment tanks while conducting compliance inspections as per and on behalf of the Base Commands environmental health and safety department.* Manage the Aviation Material Office (AMO) HAZMAT pharmacy with Command designation as HAZMAT coordinator for the Air Station. I ensure all HAZMAT is purchased and stored as per written directives, providing regulating services to remote inventory locations from the centrally located bulk storage warehouse. * Supervise the use of remote HAZMAT inventories for aviation shops and aircraft maintenance flammables lockers in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and Local laws, specifically all aspects of 29CFR 1910.1200.* Inspect Aviation Engineering Departments (AVENG) hazardous waste satellite accumulation point locations, complete inspection logs for above ground tanks and secondary containment in accordance with Hazardous Materials, Substances & Wastes Compliance Guide, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), 29CFR 1910 and the 40CFR.* Senior member of the Coast Guard Air Station HAZMAT Emergency Response team, I provide First Responder Awareness training and indoctrination/orientation briefings on emergency spill response carts to incoming personnel as per the Spill Prevention Countermeasures and Control (SPCC), Pollution Prevention Plan (P2), ISO 14001 and 29CFR 1910.1200

Duties- Avionics Electrician Master Technician - Managed personnel and resources necessary to operate, inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair all United States Coast Guard (USCG) aircraft systems. In addition; applied expert knowledge of Commandant Instruction, Federal and State regulations, local directives to ensure a compliant work site.* Supervised and collaborated with multiples of shop personnel in all facets of aircraft maintenance while maintaining numerous collateral roles within the Aeronautical Engineering Department at United States Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod. To include, Quality Assurance Chief, Departmental Environmental Health and Safety representative and serving on the units' Safety Board.* Attended the United States Coast Guard Industrial Systems Managers Course, Unit Safety Coordinator Course and ensured departmental compliance in 29 CMR 1910, 40 CFR 260-299, COMDTINST M5100.47 Safet and Environmental Health, M16478.1 Hazardous Waste management Manual, ISO 14001 Provided training in Environmental Management Systems to include emergency response to hazardous material spills, respiratory protection, shop safety and RCRA regulations for SQGS Hazardous Materials & Waste Generator status.
