Lamb Weston is an American food processing company that is one of the world's largest producers and processors of frozen french fries and other frozen potato products. Headquartered in Eagle, Idaho, Lamb Weston operates numerous processing facilities in the United States (WA, OR, ID, MN, LA), Canada, China, Australia, and (through joint venture partnerships) Argentina and Europe. I support the procurement, marketing, innovation, agricultural services, and central engineering organizations at Lamb Weston. In this role, I provide support, risk assessment, and general contract management advice on our supply chain commercial agreements, our raw potato purchases, technology and software licensing, and our strategic construction and engineering initiatives. I oversee outside reviews of advertising claims, marketing content, and management of our trademark and patent portfolios. With my litigation background, I also provide as-needed support on litigation, food safety, and compliance-related matters. Lastly, I deliver regular training and education to the business on established and emerging topics impacting various functional groups within our company, including anti-trust, data privacy, confidentiality/trade secret, and compliance with company policies.

Represent businesses, organizations, and individuals in federal and state courts and arbitration proceedings, including co-chair jury trial experience. Draft pleadings, written discovery, dispositive motions, settlement agreements, and mediation/arbitration briefs. Take and defend fact and expert depositions. Direct and cross fact and expert witnesses at trial. Argue motions to compel, to dismiss, for summary judgment, in limine, and jury instructions. Draft and respond to third party discovery. Coordinate expert discovery. Worked with clients involved in agriculture, construction, energy, partnership disputes, and catastrophic personal injury.

For each assigned case, review the briefs and record on appeal, research legal issues, and prepare a prehearing memorandum that informs the entire Court of the issues raised on appeal, the arguments advanced by the parties, the applicable law, and the recommended disposition of each issue. Draft opinions, concurrences, and dissents.

Research and draft bench memoranda and court orders on civil discovery disputes such as motions to compel, for protective order, and to enforce subpoenas. Assist in early neutral evaluation, case management, and settlement conferences. Prepare reports and recommendations to District Judge on dispositive motions. General support and assistance for fast paced chambers with full federal docket.
