My passion is structural engineering in the built environment serving owners, architects, contractors, and developers providing technical solutions and successful business outcomes. As I pivot away from the role of Chief Executive Officer, I continue to identify and grow strategic initiatives, provide focused client engagement and technical leadership, evaluate enterprise risk and mentor the next generation of design professionals.My extensive experience with all structural materials and building types including healthcare, higher education, corporate, science and technology, religious, and parking facilities provides a unique lens that simultaneously guides innovative technical solutions combined with reliable business decisions with the goal of successful outcomes on each project. This experience includes complex projects delivered with progressive contracts and compressed, fast-paced schedules. It is also been a privilege to give back to my community with leadership on the Structural Advisory Committee for the Building Codes and Standards for the State of Minnesota, the board of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC)- Minnesota and founding board member of ACE Mentor Program - Twin Cities. In 2012, I was appointed to two four-year terms on the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design overseeing licensure for design professionals. Currently, I serve on the Advisory Committee to the Department of Civil Engineering and Geoengineering at the University of Minnesota.
