A fifth-year student at the University of Guelph, majoring in Accounting and minoring in Marketing, and on a dedicated path towards earning my CPA designation. My academic journey is marked by prestigious awards such as the University of Guelph President’s Scholarship (1 of 12), Lang Scholarship (1 of 9), and 3 time Recipient of the Lang School of Business Dean’s Scholarship (top 25 business students), highlighting my commitment to academic excellence and hard work.2+ years work experience as a Tax Accountant on MNP’s Specialty Tax Team, and as a Staff Accountant/Consultant on KPMG’s Enterprise Audit team, combined with unique work and leadership experience, including a long history of work with the Department of National Defence, most recently managing over 350 staff cadets and 5000 course cadets throughout the summer as the Cadet in Charge (Coxswain) of 1 of 3 virtual cadet training centres across Canada, and contributing to research on anti-corruption in Africa through the lens of accounting, co-authoring a book chapter in the Research Handbook on Accounting and Ethics. Former Co-President of the Accounting Students’ Association, 3-time competitor on the JDCC Lang Debate Team, and currently serving in my third elected term as the Director of the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics on the University of Guelph Central Student Association,as the Lead Advisor on the Accounting Students’ Association, and the Debate Coach for JDCC Lang’s debate team. I am also the Co-founder, CEO, and CFO of a startup application called Split the Tank. I am passionate about leveraging my accounting expertise to drive meaningful change and am excited about opportunities to contribute to the field as a future CPA.
