Self starter, highly motivated, success driven, personable and approachable. I learned years ago that you can attract more bees with honey than you can with vinegar, and that leadership by intimidation DOES NOT WORK! I subscribe to the theory that if my personnel do not respect me, the person, but just the position or title I hold, I will not get their best effort. No, I am not a push-over or easy mark, I am more of a "Lead from the front" type of guy. I want to know what my crews are doing, I want them to see that I am interested in them, their well being, their working condition(s), their finished product. It's important to me that my crews see me on the production plant floor at least twice a day; that way they know that I am aware of their actions, and that I care about the quality and quantity of the produced product.
