As a senior sales assistant, it is my role to ensure that both new and existing staff are motivated, confident in their role, hitting targets and to lead by example by consistently providing the highest standard of customer service. My methodical approach to stock management, merchandising and cash handling ensures I work efficiently and with attention to detail, allowing me to maintain focus on the heart of the business - the customers themselves. Engaging customers through organising and running events and competitions, then promoting them utilising social media marketing, allows me to create additional profit sources for the store (in addition to marketing existing products), as well as creating even more awareness of the business.

As a vital part of a growing fleet management and telecommunications business, my objectives were to manage a fleet of engineers responsible for completing equipment installations on customer vehicles, comprising of both small and large fleets; these installs were then commissioned by me to confirm that they were operating correctly. Other duties included controlling equipment and engineer costs, stock management, maintaining the online vehicle tracking system, technical support and processing engineer invoices, as well as general administrative work.

Responsibilities included delivering an excellent and personalized customer experience; processing transactions quickly and ensuring these were correctly recorded on our systems; handling large amounts of money safely and accurately; constantly developing knowledge of new systems and procedures to enable the constant delivery of superior customer service; using this knowledge to achieve and exceed various targets and KPIs set by the business.

At this employer, my main duties were to assist customers in locating specific books, which included placing orders; processing customer purchases, merchandising and general cleaning work were also part of my responsibilities.

My responsibilities included assisting customers in all areas of the store, particularly using my knowledge of games products to help customers who were seeking specific items. Other duties included: merchandising front-of-store and promotional displays and ensuring stock levels were kept high, checkout work, cleaning, and I was also responsible for first aid in the store

My responsibilities at Music Zone were identical to those at Virgin/Zavvi, albeit in a smaller shop space.

As a stock supervisor, my primary duties were to ensure that all areas of the store had consistently high levels of stock, all merchandised according to company guidelines to ensure maximum sales. Numerous targets had to be met on a constant basis including sales, waste levels and stock levels; my job was to make sure that by leading a team of staff in the store, that these targets were reached and exceeded. I was also the store's induction trainer, tasked with training new staff on store procedures and helping to make them part of an already successful store team.
