• Served as Chief Executive of a local city responsible for strong fiscal constraints, economic development and innovative public private infrastructure investments • Championed unprecedented government and private dollar investment into the City• Brokered the State Route 78/111 Brawley Bypass project which was the final segment to the Calexico-Coachella Cargo Corridor resulting in a daily bypass of 3,000 trucks, environmental safeguards, commerce friendly benefits and safety improvements in and around the City • Drafted and successfully passed a voter approved bond measure to build the Phyllis Dillard Family Medical Center resulting in the construction of a state of the art hospital in Imperial Valley that leverages technology within customer centered and caring environment • Developed the financing and facilitated the removal of regulatory barriers for the construction of Calexico Health Center providing care to 30,000 citizens of Calexico • Secured financing to construct Clinicas de Salud del Pueblo, a health facility providing for a broad range of health services for underserved adults and children. in Imperial and Riverside Counties• Executed a successful campaign to bring professional baseball to the City
