First print and reprint Senior Production Designer for multilingual K-12 textbook programs—student and teacher editions, covers, ancillaries, packaging, catalogs, posters, games, marketing materials, websites and multimedia.Develop templates, master page and stylesheets that position the product and brand accurately; liaise with designers and editors to support and maintain standards and quality during development.Create, edit and perform quality assurance proofing on InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator prototypes, templates, spec binders, and live files, production files, and scanning print and photos for conversion to electronic art; train and communicate with junior production designers, temps, and vendors on templates, working files, and new software practices to increase quality and efficiency.Liaise with the design, production, planning, marketing, production, manufacturing, presses and vendor teams manufacturing, and coordinate teams in monitoring status and adherence to dates for projects, and with testing files and assurance of correct archiving and de-archiving (reprint) procedures. Organize and maintain art, photo, and file databases and servers. Create and maintain work flows, collaborate with copy editors, proofreaders, and compositors to establish consistent guidelines across program components in an effort to ensure solid quality.
