He was involved with patient management, developing and refining sub-study protocols, and data analysis, while contributing to Apnex's ever-expanding IP. He provided hands on training to field staff at sleep research laboratories across the United States, Australia and Europe. Daniel is a co-inventor on three pending patent applications on the topic, and co-authored three academic publications, including a 2012 article published an article in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care (citation below) demonstrating improved airflow in 30 of 30 patients during sleep. As a contributing author to this publication, Daniel not only acquired the data, but spent countless hours analyzing the data one-on-one with Dr. Alan Schwartz of the Johns Hopkins Sleep Disorders Center.
