Currently the lead officer for the Aberdeen Highland Games (8,000 -10,000 attendees) and Aberdeen's Hogmanay Celebrations (5,000+spectators)I work in a small team that organises Aberdeen's public events such as Spectra, Aberdeen Highland Games, Armed Forces Day, In town without your car day, Aberdeen's Winter Festive events programme and Hogmanay Celebrations.Advise and support internal event organisers and external organisers working in partnership with the Council through multi agency meetings, budget forecasting and management, event development, crowd management planning, content planning and event logistics.

Role was to develop athletics within Aberdeen to all ages and abilities.Was involved in the development of the Local Athority Jogscotland programme. Created and managed Jogscotland groups in Aberdeen. Developed the Primary schools sportshall athletics festivals (with around 1,000 primary 7aged children taking part during a week of a three session programme). Aided the reinstatement of the Grampian Schools track & field championships and the Grampian Schools cross country championships. UK Athletics tutor, coach development courses. Activ-8 board member, Grampian athletics junior performance group.Created the Run,Jump, Throw club for the introduction of fun athletics activities with the development to traditional athletics events.Organised athletics camps, each year over the summer school holidays.Developed an 'Anti behavour athletics programme' that was implemented into Primary schools at a targeted disroptive class for a year to aid team work, goal setting, phyisical and mental development. (Craighill Primary School, Causewayend Primary School and Smithfield Primary School).Due to internal restructuring,closure of the sports specific development team (August 2008).
