I’m now in my final year completing my project ‘Advancing Healthcare Logistics: 3D Printed Fixed-Wing Drone for Rapid Rural Medical Deliveries’ which entails designing and manufacturing a drone to carry medical supplies to hard to reach areas of the globe.October 2018 was the date I received my Arkwright Engineering scholarship, The most esteemed scholarship scheme of its type in the UK, whereby applicants through a rigorous selection process, to high-calibre students who apply when in Year 11, sponsored by LMUK.From that point, a well experienced, accommodating Project Manager was assigned as my mentor and provided excellent support, helping me manage my time and Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) in year 11. LMUK also provided me with a weeks work experience (12th – 16th August 2019) where I learnt about: Systems Engineering, Program and Engineering Management, Integration and Testing, CROWSNEST and CAD (Solidworks), System Solutions, LARES and Specialist Engineering.I've also practical experience with working on an Ultra4 car 'Storm' which has broadened my knowledge and understanding in the automotive engineering field by taking apart the car after a race, washing components, learning how they work and what their purpose is, before building the car back up for the next race.Completing an EPQ in year 11 allowed me to explore the aeronautical field since my project was based around 3D printing. I'm now hoping to explore more fixed wing drone design for my final year project (FYP).Upon finishing my 2nd year studies, I’ve discovered a passion for aerodynamic design and control system engineering which I would love to pursue for the future along with new manufacturing techniques and 3D printing prototypes for integration and testing.As of August 2022…Been studying abroad in Singapore at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) for an academic year and would love to network with people within the aerospace industry both in Singapore and around the world in the meantime.
