Undertaking a number of roles to gain experience of, and exposure to, all major aspects of the modern airline operation. Cabin Crew Phase - During this time, I underwent a full Cabin Crew Training course and operated a number of line flights across a 5-week period. This afforded me the opportunity to enjoy delivering a VIP customer service, but also required me to maintain my understanding of Safety and Emergency Procedures, to a high standard, to ensure the safety of all customers throughout their journey.Business Development Phase - Throughout the course of a 5-day period I had the opportunity to visit and receive presentations from a variety of departments across the company, including Pilot Recruitment, Marketing, Finance and Legal teams, as well as a number of operational teams. This was a unique opportunity to learn about the both corporate and operational sides of the business and a very rare chance to meet colleagues across the business with whom I will be working with both directly and indirectly in my future role.Base Phase - Following the Cabin Crew and Business Development Phases, I then undertook a role in the Crew Room at LBA/EGNM where I was able to gain a thorough understanding of pre-flight procedures and briefings carried out by the flight crew along with observing a number of flights from the jumpseat; this experience served to thoroughly prepare me for my impending (first) Type Rating and subsequent Line Training. In addition to this, I was also able to assist the Cabin Crew and Pilot Base Managers in various capacities to ensure the base continued to support the crew in their day-to-day roles.
