I have had a variety of experiences in the educational field. I have served in various private schools of differing sizes. I have been an teaching administrator for 30+ years and enjoy working with and managing people. Maintaining relationships with the people I serve and work with is very important to me. In my current position I have about 20 people, both paid and volunteer that I am managing.I have also had opportunities to teach and coach students of all ages. At one point or another in my career I have taught students at all levels from Kindergarten through 8th grade. I have also coached track to 4th -8th grade students, and football to 6th -12th grade students. I also have experience in serving people in a different capacity within my community. For the last 10 years I have been a member of the Eagan Fire Department. When I started it was made up of 100 paid on call firefighters. As the community grew and needs changed, the department has gone to a hybrid which has a mixture of full and part time firefighters. As part of the Eagan Fire Department, I have had the pleasure of working on the Eagan Fire Relief Association. This group is responsible for overseeing the $10+ million of the firefighters' retirement fund. We work closely with city representatives to offer an outstanding fire service at a reasonable cost to the Eagan citizens.
