Operating, setting and programming Mazak turning machines for long parts (up to 6 meters) for the oil industry.

I work with Mazak and Fanuc machines making my own programs according with the drawing. Mostly programming directly on the machine, but also using Mastercam for more complex parts. I also grind and polish different parts.

I am working in 3 shifts, operating, setting and sometimes programming two turning machines, small and large series with high precision. Both machines are operating with Mazatrol system. Some parts are quite big, up to 500kg but most of them are smaller. I work with different kinds of steel and cast iron, checking and adjusting the dimensions according to the drawings.The machines are Mazak Integrex 300- IV (5 axis) and Mazak SQT 30 (2+1 axis). Most of the programs are already made and I only have to set the tools, the clamping and adjusting the offsets of the tools, to achieve the desired precision. Sometimes I have to adjust the program when the original drawing was modified or when there is a new product without program, I have to do it myself.

I worked on different machines. Chevalier QP2026-L (with Fanuc Oi-mc control), Dahlil MCV-720 ( Fanuc Oi-mb), John Ford SV45H (O-m) depending on the tasks that were given to me.For turning I worked on Goodway Turning GCL-2BL with Fanuc Oi-TB but only operating it (no programming)

. I haveto make parts with very high precision (±0.005 mm). Working with various materials such as: plastic, aluminum, iron, steel (different kinds), and brass.I worked on two machines: Topper Tongtai TMV-720A (720X480X530) with Fanuc Oi-MD and Challenger Microcut (1300X600X500) with Fanuc Oi-MC.

I've started working in the CNC domain in 2007 on a CNC turning machine with Fanuc command. I had to make different parts according to a technical drawing (draftsmanship), then measure. The programmer gave me the program for that part and i just had to set and operate the machine.
