Working under the health management department of neuroscience, I am currently working as a reimbursement and clinical support specialist for a medication used in the treatment of relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis. I also assist in the launch and introduction to market of a medication prescribed for chronic migraines. The program will also shortly be introducing a new medication for the treatment of secondary progressive multiple sclerosis, and is currently implementing a plan of action for the loss of exclusivity for one molecule. My responsibility is to handle the reimbursement duties for the entirety of patients within Canada, except for the province of Quebec, though I do assist when necessary. I also assist the clinical coordinator teams and the reimbursement teams for other medications when volume requires it.

On top of the responsibilities I had as a therapy coordinator, the title of senior caseworker added further personnel training duties, regular data reports, pilot project testing, and copay assistance.While assuming this role, I have also started working on a third medication's patient support program, which was prescribed for psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and polyarthritic juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Furthermore, I was asked to assist in areas of the program that require additional aid.Additionally, I was also been a member of a few corporate-wide committees designed to improve specific process flows within the company. The ultimate goal of these committees was to update existing practices within the company in order to standardize them throughout different patient divisions of the corporation and to increase the overall the efficiency of these practices.

I worked for a patient support program created for a high-cost biologic medications for the treatment of psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and chronic idiopathic urticaria. Due to the severity of peoples' illnesses and the potential financial stress caused by being prescribed such an expensive medication, personal skills are an invaluable asset.My responsibilities included - but were not limited to:- contacting patients to make sure they are respecting treatment and answering any questions they may have- coordinating with pharmacies and courier services in order to ensure patients are receiving their medication on time- coordinating with physicians, field case managers, patients, and insurance providers in order to ensure reimbursement of the medication for the patient- reviewing medical attachments and documenting any medical adverse events- training new employees in program procedures (e.g. job shadowing, theoretical procedural training, etc.)I also acquired a broad knowledge of the unique needs of all Canadian provinces and territories when it comes to the prescribing, shipping, dispensing, and reimbursement of medications. Due to the nature of the program and its rapid expansion, it was necessary for the team to work collectively and share in the responsibilities. On top of my daily duties, I also partook in extra-curricular projects. These included - but were not limited to:- being selected as one of two therapy coordinators to undertake a pilot project to introduce a one-point-of-contact patient support program and introduce a new biologic to the program(this has subsequently been rolled out nationwide)- undertaking testing for a new automated enrollment process- creating new training tools for new employees- doing several data reports, some of which are done on a daily basis- undertaking several data cleanups

My job consisted of preparing prescriptions for customers, doing regular inventory checks, ensuring customer care and satisfaction, as well as relaying important information to pharmacists, doctors, insurance representatives, and sales representatives.

My job primarily involved selling sports goods to consumers. I mostly worked in the shoe department, the clothing department, or the hard goods department. General inventory and maintenance skills were also required for this post.
